Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: San Leandro, California 94577
Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery – Critical Need
Start Date: September 8, 2025
End Date: December 6, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2830 - $3030

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or related field
- Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years
- High Risk OB experience

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver expert, compassionate patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery process
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Respond to high-risk obstetric situations and emergencies with clinical proficiency
Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records
